Thunderous Demise: The Tragic End of Thor by Kang?
As Kang killed many avengers on his way of conquering the multiverse, it's obvious he won against Thor every time. Or did he?
The god of thunder might not be able to outsmart Kang but has enough raw power to overpower him. Thor and Kang confront each other multiple times in comics. Most of the time Thor managed to defeat Kang with the help from his fellow Avengers, even alone. [Avengers #69-71,Thor Annual #17] So, will Kang be able to kill Thor in the Marvel cinematic universe?
In the next Avengers movie, there is a potential for a fight between Thor and Kang. The actor of Kang in the MCU, Jonathan Majors in a recent interview reveals that he wants Kang to fight Chris Hemsworth's Thor Odinson in the upcoming film, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. In the latest Antman movie, Kang also confirms that he killed Thor in another universe. So it is to be said Marvel will be brutal with Thor’s luck. But Thor is now more powerful than ever and even mentally stable than before. How can Kang kill Thor then? In comics Kang, the time-traveling warlord has proven to be a cunning and manipulative foe who can outsmart even a god. Kang is smart. He knows Thor is a big threat on his way. So, he will find a vulnerable time for Thor and capitalize that.
Thor’s story will not be completed without the reunion with his brother Loki. Loki, The god of Mischief, faked his own death so many times in front of Thor that Thor stopped believing him. But in the beginning of “Avengers: Infinity War”, Loki sacrificed himself for Thor(This time he really died) and after that Thor became mentally unstable. Thor went to avenge Loki but taking loss he gave up fighting. Since then Thor is seen missing Loki so much. But how will Thor meet his dead brother? Is it getting confusing?
The real fans know there is a variant of Loki around for some time now.
tva-time-variance-authority-explained
This Loki variant is captured by TVA and since then he is trying to return to the main timeline. As he explores TVA more, he went to reveal the mystery of this organization with his friend Mobius and his another variant Sylvie. They got to the end and found out a variant of Kang is behind that organization and controlling the sacred timeline. As Sylvie tried to kill the Kang variant, he explained how killing him the timeline he was controlling will start branching and the multiverse will reopen. He also alerts the Lokis that by reopening the multiverse, they will have to worry about so many evil Kang. Loki agrees with Kang but Sylvie kills Kang eventually.
Ironically Loki is trying to fix it all and Loki is our only hope and only one who knows what happened actually.
Loki will be needed to inform everyone about Kang before Kang reaches the Avengers first. So, obviously he will go to Thor first. But if Marvel wants to end Thor’s story, Kang will go to kill Thor first because he is one the biggest threats on his way. Loki will just arrive there to see Thor die at the hands of Kang. It will be a perfect and the saddest moment to end the story of Thor and will give Loki a personal issue with Kang to end him.
The long awaited reunion of Thor and Loki would have been a wholesome moment for all Marvel fans. But that is the one moment Kang could use the opportunity. And Loki is…
I can’t even finish. If this happens, so many would just cry out at the cinema hall.
